2020 Scholastic Art Awards Regional Gold Key recipient in Design!
Growing up in New York, I would always walk to get a plain slice and Italian ice with my Grandparents when visiting them in Queens. Within my design I wanted to capture the true New York City Spirit I remember so fondly. I used visuals such as the statue of liberty, the iconic phrase "fugghedabboutit", and a pattern I created from the intersections of the Queens Unisphere.
